Today we went out to Auditorium Shores, which is supposed to be a great place for playing Pokemon. I guess there's a ton of Pokestops? Not really sure... lol. The girls have been super into Pokemon, and Walter has been really into riding his bike, so we went out and made an afternoon of it. I brought my camera to try to get some good shots in as well. It turned out to be so lovely, despite the heat. Luckily there were tons of water fountains (and doggy water fountains for Hank, too!), and even misters to cool down, which was great for Walter, because he was really zooming around on his bike and working up a sweat. Below are some of the pictures I took :)

Q and I drove the kids back home for Christmas this year and we are really having a blast. There are nine of us right now staying in my parents house. Nine. Nine. Did you catch that? For over a week. It's kind of madness. But thank goodness their house is big enough that normally there is a spot to go hide away if necessary. We've been having a lot of fun seeing my parents and brothers. The kids love all the attention and all the old toys to look through. I have been so impressed with how smoothly everything is going and how well the kids are doing. I honestly feel like I'm the one that is getting the most overwhelmed by it all :-/ I mean, nine people! And a dog! Atha and Walter have been loving this tire swing. Which is actually the same tire swing that was up when we were kids. Despite all odds, it seems to be in great shape. I couldn't resist an epic shot of Genny surveying the land atop her picnic table. We went to go play at the park on Monday with the kids. Which is something we do all year round in Texas. But we lasted about 10 minutes in the 30 degree weather and went to get doughnuts in Aggieville at a place called Varsity Donuts. Varsity was not around when I was a kid, so it was fun to see a new place and eat delicious donuts. Walter got the purple frosting and purple sprinkles K-Stater donut :) Walter being silly and learning about velociraptors. My mom made peanut butter surprises with the kids. Peanut butter surprises are a treat we used to have as kids. It is little wheat thin peanut butter sandwiches dipped in chocolate. We used to love making them as the kids and so did Walt, Genny and Atha. Atha was diligently cleaning up all the extra chocolate :-)
